qUALIFYING SPACE HARDWARE FOR THERMAL pioneer
We welcomed Kieran from the SMART-IR Team to Alba Orbital to qualify their new thermal product for Spaceflight. They want to increase their TRL level and get ‘qualified’ for flight. All spacecraft regardless of size or mass much pass a vibration test to be allowed to fly on a rocket such as SpaceX Falcon 9.
Kieran said “we are testing a thermal control system for a cubesat and also a development of a camera system for satellites. So, we've already launched two Picosats using the Albapod (deployer). We knew you guys (Alba) were knowledgeable and good source for all things Picosat Cubesat related.
Today was a great experience. Very successful testing and learned a lot about vibration testing, looks like good results.”
