Spherical Systems Vibration Test - Case Study

DUTCH STARTUP QUALIFY THEIR SPACE HARDWARE AT ALBA AHEAD OF FIRST FLIGHT TO SPACE WITH SPACEX

We recently welcomed Thomas Parry CEO and Co-Founder of Spherical to Alba’s Test house. They are based in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Thomas said “we're here to do vibration testing qualification testing of our structural (satellite) model. We hope to gain certainty and confidence and design and the only way we can really do that reliably is testing it, measuring the data and gaining that and feedback into the design process.”

They struggled to get last minute availability at othe vibration test centres in the Netherlands

“We explored Test Facilities across Europe, many very well known names, but the challenge is the getting the flexibility to be able to respond quickly for the needs our startup, which wasn't quite there and that's what drew us to to testing at Alba Orbital”
