alba cluster 6 launch

Alba Orbital successfully launched the Alba Cluster 6 mission from onboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket (Transporter-9’) on 3rd January 2023 at 14:56:00 UTC. The Falcon 9 launched successfully from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This mission served as Alba Orbital’s 4th successful orbital flight, delivering 2 of our very own PicoSats (Unicorn-2G & Unicorn-2H) to space. This takes the companies ever-growing number of satellites launched up to 25!

Unicorn-2G & Unicorn-2H are the latest addition to Alba Orbital’s earth observation constellation designed to provide frequent high resolution imagery of the earth at night and monitor light pollution across the globe. Night-time satellite imagery (or ‘nightlights data’) can provide vital insights into natural disasters, economic activity, socioeconomic trends, and even the impact of COVID-19.
